Does lectin really increase the number of cell in the mitotic stage compared to your control? I do not think your evidence supports your claim. I also thought that your justification for your second claim should be strengthened.
I'm not sure that your evidence for your first claim is complete justified as the percentage of cells in mitosis exposed to Lectin was less than your control group. For your reasoning for your second claim I think you should add more detail.
I would have loved to seen your sources for your control group. Do you think even though the class count you did may have been skewed towards Interphase, it would have produced the same results? Looking at your data, it looks similar to the other groups' data.
The data that we gathered in class showed just 32% of cells in interphase when we took all three of our totals together. This was much less than the results which we found online (which we should go back and sight at the end) which were of the same experiment. I do not think it would have produced the same results, which is why we reasoned to use other control data.

DeleteWhat exactly was the null hypothesis for the first chi square? Also, the reasoning of the second claim is somewhat vague.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the reasoning for the second claim wasn't thoroughly reflected upon. What did your results teach you? Did you gain any new insights?
