I thought your justification for your claims were solid. I thought the evidence was hard to read because it was small on the screen if there is a way to make it bigger to make it easier to read that would help. Lastly, the article doesn't exactly go with the claim that you thought and your evidence, did the article mention if lectin could inhibit the cell growth so it fit with your evidence? But, I get why you used the article and it was smart to do more research.
The article was used to support the idea that lectin has the ability to increase the number of cells that undergo mitosis because it induces cells into mitosis. The article didn't mention if lectin could inhibit cell growth, but it would interesting to do some more research to see if it does.
The use of outside information on the lectin was a really good idea to back up your claim. Even though the article said that lectin was a stimulant for mitosis I feel as though you should have still considered the decreased number of cells even though it was not a large decrease.
That's a good point. I think that since we found outside information that supported one of the claims, we kind of ran with it. But there is a possibility that even though lectin induces mitosis in cells, it could produce less cells that undergo mitosis than a control group.
